A foray into Muskets and Tomahawks

Well I have become all enthused about this game for the New year.

After a lot of reading around on various forums and blogs I took the plunge just before christmas and picked up the rule book.

I felt so good about it I have even gone and started one of those blogs to chart my progress.

Not a huge amount of stuff there at the moment, but I am sure more things will be added soon.

Nice start I've been thinking about Front Rank Regulars but the pics are not that good as you say , my Rangers are Galloping major which are stunning and Ive some conquest and Northstar in different units but was waiting for the majors regulars but might get some front rank now , thanks

They do look good. I agree their photos are unflattering but I also find that with Galloping Major photos and Crusader.

The best photos (not necessarily minis) are Warlord and North star

Hi Gents,
I think you're right, the pictures on the online shop would be better represented by painted ones, maybe one day 
I would recommend a look around the site for pics of painted stuff: The Studio and Gallery pages for instance.
Mulling over putting something out about planned releases for this year, including my first British Regulars

Thank you all for the nice comments so far. Glad some of you have found it useful already.

Out of interest Galloping Major, your figures did pique my interest, as they get a lot of glowing recommendations online.

It was due to the the way your figures mostly come in batch's of six that stopped me going with them for my starting force.

I found it hard to then look at adding a couple of Officer figures with out getting a large batch of extras, which I could not really justify to myself this early on.

Maybe you could think of adding Command packs, that cover a multiple line or something, like 3 regular officers, 2 ranger officers and 1 Indian officer for the British forces as an example. (I use the word Officer loosely, meaning Captain/sergeant/chief/leader etc etc).

Or just some single commander figures would work too 

Just thought you may find it interesting to know and something to consider.

Agreed, I'm in the same boat!  I'm looking to fill some holes that aren't covered with your range Lance, but I can surely wait if I know what's coming!  Throw us a bone!

I am currently using Studio Tomahawk figures, and I have some Crusader Brits plus some conquest Indians and French through Warlord, but they are quite slight compared to Tomahawk figures.

I am looking forwardtoseeing how you develop it
