Sadly, this is probably spot on.
These Forgeworld new releases are certainly making me sit up and take notice, though.

And there is zero reason you can't game the universe with a wholly different game system of your choosing. I'd be more than happy to game some Forgeworld Horus Heresy stuff as long as you don't bugger it up with actual 40K rules.
