SuckerPunch Mech do they make one in 28mm?
« on: 09 January 2013, 12:46:43 AM »
So yeah I would like to get a hold of the mech from Suckerpunch as its kind of awesome :D

If anyone know of a place they make one let me know. If all else fails I can always make a layered balsa wood core and build it up with green stuff (Autodesk 123 is very handy and free).

And while we're on the topic of mechs, what do you think are the best weapons to put on them?
love to hear your thoughts etc.

I wish... ::) And I know many people would be all over it in a flash.

But so far, I believe there was only one toy released of it, in a much too large scale.

I've seen a few scratchbuilds out there though and also several conversions of MaK suits, which would probably be your best bet at the moment. I beieve the ones used were scaled 1/35. With a bit of work, they should look pretty convincing.

I'm sure you are aware of the not-Suckerpunch girls in Reaper's Chronopia range?
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

Indeed I am, they also make a Not Firefly series, I like the look of the Not Jayne mini.
Time to hit the workbench lol...

Yeah, Defiance Games it is and its called a Hardsuit and is talked about on TMP here;

No idea if or when it will actually be released, but the concept art looks spot on to me.

The Szalamandra model from Infinity could be a good basis to start with?

The Komodo from Antenociti's Workshop might also be a good prospect.

I really like the Komodo suit, might need a few modifications but that's always fun, thanks to all who gave me suggestions, and if anyone has other ideas, I'm still interested.

A 3D printing service (a la Shapeways) called Moddler (moddler.com) did a 3d render of the the aforementioned mech, I'm not sure if you can get it from them or if it's possible to obtain it from the guy who commissioned it from them - Paul Ozzimo (paulozzimo.com), good luck with the project.

Darkson Designs made a Buffalo mech that is quite like the Suckerpunch one. It was for their WWWII game. I don't know if they are still in business because I can't find their website. You might have to try ebay. Apparently it is now done by Blackball games, there is a kickstarter thread lower down on this page.

Just watching this film at the moment, takes a heck of a getting into.  Couldn't help thinking it was a bit dark and sexual for a 12 though........  o_o

Only watch the action scenes, the rest is just sad.
