Aiiiiiii! I had a really bad end of the week at work, went to bed late, didn't want to go to CanCon... then I had a rest and ended up leaving a lot later than I had planned, but I had a good time.
It looks like I missed almost everyone, though!
I didn't have much of a gander at the demo games, and totally missed the giveaway figure (where were they??).
On the other hand, my wife and I put in a rather substantial order at Eureka and it was lovely to catch up with Nic and Jack. I got some of the Beowulf figs, ordered some AWI cavalry, and lots of things for Painting Princess. I saw Dave King there for a millisecond before he left (but it was nice catching up with you mate!).
I raided the second hand stalls upstairs, and down, several times... came away with some nice finds like some 80s Citadel beastmen, some dwarves (a couple of Marauder slayers in there for PP), an old Grendel giant spider (for $5!). I also found a small baggie with some OOP Eldar and the rad Imperial Assassin seen here...
It was $10
I also picked up a copy of Dux Britaniarum, but I'll have to wait a while before I actually play. Looks really, really good, though.
Anyway, you had to really rummage around but it was worth it in the end. I was a little bit shocked by the rudeness of some of the patrons, but other people were quite polite, too, just to even it out.
All in all worth the trip, as always. I would have liked to have said hello to more of you!
