My First Finished Fantasy Warband.
« on: January 11, 2013, 12:58:48 PM »
Previously I have mostly painted and collected sci-fi miniatures, but for some time I have been collecting a few fantasy miniatures too and painted a few models. But this is the first time I actually finished a complete warband.

What they will be used for I have no idea about, but I guess they will work well in SoBaH, Skulldred or similar.

I really like the dark tone of them all. Great work, Jonas! :)

Thanks. They are chaos knights after all, so I tried giving them some darker metal colours.

They don't look like the Forces of Sweetness & Light, but they are VERY COOL in a sinister sort of way. GREAT brushwork...VERY WELL DONE!

Ohhhh shit these are hot!! I love the look of these minis, the way you painted them makes them seem so menacing. Very dark and brooding and I really like the fact that you used hex bases. I will make one slight comment and I hope you don't mind, I would add a few more highlights to the fur, maybe a few highlights with a wash if you want to keep the fur a little darker.

These guys (and gal) are great, I know this is your first warband but I hope it is not your last.

Cheers,
 Damien

Looks great!  I have the second one with the great sword and chain around his arm. Grenadier chaos warriors are great.

Some of my favourite 'chaos' dudes right there! This combined with awesome brush-work + hex bases = epic win, sir!

Thanks all.

About the fur, it might get a bit more work later, I can see on the photos that it seems to not have so much contrast. I think it looks better in real than on the photo, but maybe one more highlight would be in place.

Also there is a few small parts I might work a bit more on later. But for now they are donw, so I can work on something new for some time.

Of Fantasy I have a Hobgoblin warband I have been working on for some time, they might get some more paint soon and I am also working on a Dwarf army for 4th edition Warhammer. So I have more Fantasy miniatures in line, but I don't know when they will be done.
