Many thanks all. 

The black is a basecoat of Foundry Black 34A followed by a few layers with increasing amounts of Slate Grey 32A.

My favourite is the guy far left as he came out with more subtle variations of tone, whereas the others are a bit more obvious.  Pleased with them all, but need to try and improve consistency with my painting.

I did the conversion to Kitty years ago.  The group have sat undercoated ever since.  Finally painted them this week.

Take the positives where you can...    Probably like many others currently, I've gone from very little free time to 'All the time in the world'
It should be air, but as UVS has pointed out it is totally innacurate as 'Kitty' can't even see it.
