To explain how this works. Firstly I opted for a fixed funding drive. With the fixed option any and all money contributed is returned in FULL if the goal is not met. The flexible drive where if the minimum goal is not met everyone gets hit with a fee. With the fixed funding drive you only have a 60 day window to raise the funds but if the drive fails everyone gets their money back.....
If the goal of $3000.00 is met Indiegogo keeps 8% for themselves.
The monies I receive then cover the costs of the primary master, moulds to produce a secondary master, and a series of production moulds....
I hope this explains things a bit better. I don't want anyone to get burned, and I offer lots of perks, which include shipping, in return for a contribution.
Kickstarter isn't available to Canadians yet and I haven't looked to closely at how their system works as opposed to Indiegogo.....
