First go at an Indian for Muskets and Tomahawks
« on: January 18, 2013, 08:18:20 PM »
Have not been doing very much recently but have managed this Studio Tomahawk figure,

I am quite happy with it, struggling a bit with Flesh tones, have a 3 more in the nearly complete stage am experimenting with war paint.

C&C as always welcome

Thanks

Looks very nice to me. The colours you have chosen all compliment each other very well.

Man I love it, lovely figure, you,ve handled the subtle shades very well - it,s very easy to make the colours too vivid, these guys lived in the woods and their clothing would have appeared faded  and worn. Photograpy is also well done and much better than mine, keep posting.

Thanks chaps, in the flesh he looks really good, and the top picture shows him off well.

The other two close ups show me those annoying bits where you get a bit of one colour on another, which I have been trying to eradicate.

I will keep on going  :D

Thanks Richard

Yes he did, I had a couple of absolutely great games.

I do need a lot of Indians so loads to practice on  :D

Have some warpaint on the next two which is quite intimidating

Hi Dodge

Please to see you got started, I reckon you need a minimum of 36 Indians ie six war bands

To get a good game go for 60+ of course you also need civilians, regulars and irregulars. Have fun !

I shall be returning to M&T once weather warms up. Shed is a bit cold at the moment for games so cracking on with pirate terrain.

If anybody interested in a m&t game one weekend in spring let me know. I am nbased in surrey will post nearer the time

Eric ( aka giles)

I second that, I thoroughly enjoyed the games I played. The indian is looking great, can't wait to see the next batch. :)
