I finally finished up my Maw's from Hasslefree.  I suck at flesh tones, but I'm pretty happy the way they turned out.

My poor Hulk Hound didn't see the one behind him...

Here is the Data Card I made for No Limits.  It gives an idea of what I imagine these guys can do.

Love the Maws! Great job with them and the Boarding troops (the high Gorgets on them are ace).

Hi all,

It has been a while, but with working full time, having a family and going to grad school, not much time is left for fun stuff.  We are on holiday and I had an opportunity to work a bit on my generic security squad types.  The wifi here is really bad.  It took me longer to up load the photos than it took to paint!

These are EM4 plastic troopers.  I will have a squad with pistols, a squad with rifles, and a special weapons squad.

Here is the first coat of blue blocked in.

Squad leaders with special scanner and sensor equipment.

You may notice that I did some extra sanding on the GS hand held sensors to make them a little less bulky.  The power cable is from an old guitar string.

The helmets and the chest armor, boots and gloves will be tactical black.  Anyone have any good tips/tutorials for highlighting and shading black?

Thanks for reading, and as always C&C is always welcome.

Brilliant stuff. Excuse my ignorance, but what's No Limits?
It's nothing, sir. Just a burn from a ray gun.

Scifi rule set that is sort of open source-ish.  I believe they are based off the old Void rules.

No, the EM4 Heavy weapon set comes with metal head/chest pieces that fit onto the plastic legs and back of the plastic trooper.  I used the Heavy Weapons fronts for the squad leaders since they don't have the same armor torso look as the standard plastic front.

You can sort of see it here: http://www.em4miniatures.com/acatalog/Science_Fiction.html

Finally finished a squad of my police/security team.  I'm sorry about the poor pictures the lighting was bad and I tried to adjust the contrast.

Some support, for when pistols just don't cut it.

Group shot with the squad leader using a sensor/scanner thing.  Helps to find all that contraband hidden on star ships and cargo containers.

In hindsight, I probably should have painted the knee pads to match the body armor. I may do that on the next batch.

Next up, the guys with the rifles.

I have been taking a small break from painting and I have started assembling the terrain I received from the Battle Systems Kickstarter.

Small update.

I finished my security detail armed with long guns (can you call a laser rifle a rifle since the barrel is not rifled?)

For some reason, even with a light, I couldn't get the pictures to come out right. The colors are a bit more vivid in real life.

In my games I needed something to represent a shield generator.  A bit of green stuff, the part of a super glue container and some paint and... shield generator!

Next up? Some robotic support for the men in blue!
