It finally clicked what this reminded of; Gorkamorka! Well, the isolated tribes fighting over scrap, anyway (i.e. the cool bits, and not the other rubbish).  lol

You'll be pleased to know however, that I think your concept is waaaaaaay cooler. And it definitely has strong Kickstarter potential too.  8)

You did a great job...some look like they are leaking oil or have been over lubricated. Nice colour choices. Thanks for sharing.

These are ace, you may just have sold me on a new game, I love the character you manage to squeeze into the little fellas.

Personally I'll be in with the blues, Captain Sprocket high on the oily seas.

I'll keep an interested eye on any future developments.

This thread actually made me go play Machinarium...and I forgot how frustrating that game can get!

PS: I really wish battle bots had taken a better direction and they kept showing it.

Hi!

I am hoping to be getting the little fellows cast up within the next couple of months. At present the Black tribe have got a good half dozen basic robots done and I am going to be moving onto the other tribes with the hope of getting some basic robots sorted for each tribe before moving onto the more advanced and larger models!

All the best!

I almost wish I'd missed this thread as it will be very hard not to buy some of these!

I think what would be ideal for me would be to buy an assortment of hands, legs etc with which i can make my own tribe. Perhaps you could make it possible to buy the 'limbs' at some point?

Hi!

Handily the arms and bodies have all been sculpted individually and are interchangeable! I'm hoping to do some more unusual weapons too such as rocket hammers, spring mounted fists and so on too as well as lots more basic ones such as swords, hammers, pistols and assorted guns!

All the best!

Sounds cool! Will the list include the usual chainsaw, wrecking ball, pneumatic drill, blow torch etc as well? :)

I'm blown away by this concept (and I don't "do" sci-fi)!  When you get it up and running, count me in!

Hi!

Glad to hear folks like the little fellows! The Black Tribe Bullies (slightly larger and spikier than the minions) will come armed with guns, chainsaws and brawling fists.

Each tribe will have access to lots of fun stuff! The blues have pirate themed weaponry including clockwork bombots, swivel guns and even the mighty Broadsides, a big guy with a chest full of cannon. The reds have lots of fire based weapons such as flame throwers, steam hammers and blowtorches. The yellows weaponry on the other hand is all based on toxic. Stuff they work with, be it isotope staffs, acid bombs or tox spreaders.

The greens are still in early stages but are of a more savage style with lots of primitive weaponry but also some organic ones! Likewise the whites are more high tech and have lots of stuff like plasma carbines and so on.

I am slowly working towards a game somewhat akin to a cross between Necromunda and song of blades where each robot can gain experience allowing to to improve its programming and weaponry but I suspect that's quite a ways off at present as I really want to get the assorted tribes basic robots released along with a leader and some sort of specialist to get the ball rolling so to speak!

All the best!
