Very nice report and pics.  Love the fightin' amongst the tents. :-*

The bloody Raas Ak Naa rear their heads again! Someone better put an end to their reign of terror soon ... or maybe jimbibbly should just take the rulebook off Malamute.  ;)

Great show guys.

Ok mate - well in that case it's a lost hope.  :'(  :'(  :'(

Unfortunately it looks like the mighty British Empire are destined to make a withdrawal from the Red Planet soonish.  :-[

I'm curious, how have you rated the Martians for SP. Having no firearms makes for a challenging force to play.

They are obviously pretty deadly in combat.

Great report chaps.

Those Martian blaggards deserve a whiff of heavy ordnance. Make it so.
Don't!

They get 1D6 plus 3 pips for movement. If in charge range they get an extra D6 movement to make the charge. So potentially they can use two action dice plus 6 pips and the extra die for a charge.
They also get to move one action die on the Tiffin card if not already activated. so we make them bloody fast like cavalry in SP. They have to be able to engage quickly otherwise they will get shot down.
They get a saving throw in hand to hand when having taken casualties for their armour and have extra attack die due to spears, glaives, etc.

So far in the games we have played they have been able to charge down the Brits before the Brits have been able to get into position. Having seen the firepower the Brits can deliver in one volley, the Martians can be easily reduced to loosing their bottle.

Don't forget the deadly martian bolas old chap, i seem to remember they picked off a couple of sentries :)

As per blow darts on p32 in the SP rulebook "With a range of 12” they may fire once in a turn and hit on a 4-6. Men hit by poisoned darts bolas will roll on the damage table with a +1."
