Help! Need suitable miniatures to do the Lost boys
« on: February 03, 2013, 07:41:59 PM »
Well, not the very great vampire flick that many of you 40+ goths probably swear to, but the from Disney's Peter Pan.
I have this "Haven't I've seen one suitable miniature in a animal costume somewhere"-feeling. Apparently, I can't find it (I'm aware of the HF Stedlers, it's too big, and would probably give people the chills).
So, where can I find animals suitable for this convertion? Or have someone done them?

/S

How about using the Zenit Miniatures Orphans?

These are very odd but rather sweet http://shop.zenitminiatures.es/category.php?id_category=11&id_lang=1

Oooh, I forgot about those, so thank you Andrew!

But, the price tag makes them less ideal for wargaming vicious cannibal children led by the devious eastern Swede known as "Ham Mers" :o

Note to self, Hasslefree a bit NSFW.  :D

Not seeing any as I would have imagined.

I'm thinking there's something adult/non-human in some other ranges of smaller scales that might do, but nothing jumps to mind.

Assuming you're mostly running 28mm or better, there are some 'Heroic'18mm-'true'25mm that should be possible.

Maybe that'll jog someone's memory.

NorthStar has the Brigade Games Marvin & Mooseketers- the only one wearing a full moose costume is a grown up, but the kids all are wearing moose caps if that's any help.

Means the should have animal costumes, no? splintered light does humanoid animals in 15mm (-I think) don't know where to get child heads though. Best bet is West Wind gothic horror Street Urchins. Possibly Black Hat halflings?

I was thinking on that. But aren't they on the very wee side?
I'd love to find a good comparison pic of some 28mm next to them :)

There are a few from Wyrd that might work, although they also suffer from being a bit on the pricey side:

Thank you, Deafnala!
As I stated previously, I think, I'm looking to add a cheap, non-playable faction that's just there to harass the players while they battle among themselves in the wastelands of the archipelago :)

You're quite welcome, Silversixx. I figured they were out of the budget area, but we all have a tendency to splurge on some costly piece we really like...I figured I'd give you the option to splurge or not.
