Gangs of Mordheim. Update 24/2/2013
« on: 04 February 2013, 11:47:33 PM »
I've been thinking about my skaven warband and how I should really get round to finishing them as they are so much fun to play.

So this week I picked up my rat ogre and finally got some paint on him. I wanted something simple so when I made (which was a few years ago) him I tried to keep him as ratty as possible and not have him waving his arms about.

Here he is accompanied by some giant rats.

And running away ( as skaven are prone to doing)

The sickle in the fruitful field;
The sword he sung a song of death,
But could not make the sickle yield."

The Big Rat Guy & his Little Chums look FANTASTIC...GREAT painting & basing. The comparatively Little Rat in the left foreground is my favorite...he looks like he's looking up to the Rat Ogre & saying: "Get with the program, Gumball." VERY WELL DONE!

Nice work on both the big and the little disease carriers, mate.
Loving those bases too.

We need to play some Mordheim soon, methinks.... ;)

Cheers fellas. I was quite pleased with how he came out. In fact he gave me the incentive to finally tackle the mechanical rat ogre hired sword I made for Mordheim.

We need to play some Mordheim soon, methinks.... ;)

Bert will be pleased to hear you say that.

Really great looking rats. The Rat Ogre looks nasty, and not a little creepy.

Thanks beefcake and mishka.

I've been re basing my skaven warband and trying to paint up the naked ones.
Here is one I finished a few mins ago.
I was going to call him Skutter but after the red went on his name changed.

So here is Rat Murdock one of my night runners. His nunchucks count as two clubs.

Red's red is a refreshing change from the usual drab colors Rat Guys sport. That's a FINE piece of brushwork & basing. GREAT WORK!

Nicey!
Never was a fan of skaven warband but after just reading 2 Troll Slayer novels and watching your stuff I think I will get some spawn of the Hornet Rat eventually :)

Nice rat. (There's something you don't get to say very often.) The red works much better then I would've expected.
