My sci-fi project - Titan Hades squad
« on: 08 February 2013, 12:25:54 PM »
As a start, we have the ultimate special forces from Mars : a three-men squad specialized in close assault, support and near protection. The models were converted from GW 40k assassins using bits and pieces from the Tau range for a more "clean" hi-tech look.

Hope you enjoy  :)

Thanks for the reply  :)

The project is about a sci-fi skirmish game. In short; the setting is around our own solar system where some plausibly habitable moons and planets have been colonized. Men can make a few steps into exo-systems, but will inevitably been confronted to other species. Since the great nuclear apocalypse on earth, the planet extinguishes of life. The human race can exode itself but is at the brink of extinction. New powers emerge, but they have to deal with new extraterrestrial powers (not always hostile). The human kind is also aware of a new energy, called "quintessence". The power that emanates from all kinds of life in the universe and that only can be found within a few individuals over the human race.

For the game, its a sci-fi/fantasy skirmish game. Based around alternative activation with a few twists. Players can keep the initiative to play a further activation and every unactivated model counts as being in overwatch. This makes (I think) gameplay interesting as players are confronted with playing models first or keeping them in reserve for a possible reaction to the enemy.

I'm still working at the background for the moment, but any additional ideas are very welcome  :)

In the meantime, some sketches and conversions :

Yuk and Yern are twin sisters. Seperated since their birth, they had always the feeling to retrieving each other over the known solar systems. Yuk is a weapon specialist and her sister Yeren a well known hacker. Now they have found each other and form a deadly duo.

Thanks guys  :)

I'm proud to present you the next race : the Sonex.

The Sonex do not belong in our space/time reality as we know it, although they are fully aware of it as a creative dimension. We as a human race are able to perceive only their creations, not the race itself, as they are formed purely of conscious non-materialized energy.

The Sonex being unable to manifest physically in our system, they developed a way to interact with our reality. Therefore an intermediate psychic hybrid race called Luhmians (see below) was created. Their "tools" are robotic forms of crystallized energy very tangible in our 3-dimensional reality. These constructions called Authomaths contain a crystal inside with great information storage capacity, which responds directly to the Luhmians' instructions.

Great addition to your project! What kind of relations do humans and Sonex have currently?

 Hi guys,

A long time ago and I'm happy to continue working on the many facets of my home made sci-fi miniature skirmish game. Here is another faction from the Solar system: Titan. Models are old elite IP from GW. As for the simple conversion, I just chopped off that ugly edge from their lasgun and put a visor on it. Hope you enjoy.
