Generic Middle Eastern Regulars
« on: February 08, 2013, 10:12:06 PM »
I just finished up a batch of generic modern Middle Easter regulars. I’ve painted them up in a khaki – rather than a specific camouflage pattern – in hopes that I could pass them off as any sort of Middle East/Central Asian force armed with soviet equipment… Syrians… Egyptians… Iranians… Iraqis…. Pakistanis…? Maybe even regulars from Burkhaderkastan or Stanistan…? In a pinch I might even try to pass them off as Nicaraguans or Cubans in a “Red Dawn” scenario… (or the Peoples Revolutionary Army of Mexico – P.R.A.M.)

Crikey Tim, they'll be the first wargames figures to suffer an identity crisis!  lol

Nice work though, like 'em.  ;)

I'm always trying to make my minis more versatile and you have done a stunning job. I might have to copy your clever paint scheme.

These look great! I want some! I love your paint job.

It's a good idea to keep them really generic- you'll get ore gaming out of them. And sod anyone who tells you there are not 'accurate'. They're toy soldiers, damn it!

(if I sound bitter it's because I have just finished painting delta force in Multicam, and I hate painting Multicam- now I realise I should have done what you did and done them as generic special forces)
