Hi honey, I'm home!
« on: February 10, 2013, 11:57:31 PM »
Hi all,

Been away for a few months with family and work stuff getting in the way, but I'm back now :)

Apologies to the people I owe PM's to, I see there are a few of you, I'll reply over the next day or two during my very small windows of opportunity. To be honest, that's the reason it's taken me a while to come back on, I'm not getting much time to devote to hobby/web at the moment and I have a couple of projects that get the lions share of that. Which meant the thought of trying to catch up with everything was seriously daunting....

I'll just do it a bit at a time and if I miss something cool, then I'm sorry but I'm sure it'll get reflagged at some point :)

Cheers
Dean

I had actually noted your absence, along with Orctrader and Gluteus Maximus.

Half expected to bump into you at Kelham yesterday too but it was so bad I did not hang around long enough to see anybody.

Didn't bother going. I wasn't feeling too good anyway, but I'd already decided not to go. I took a look at the trader list and decided it wasn't worth my time.

Glad to hear you're okay Dean.

I do fear for the safety of the latter. He was a very active contributor who suddenly stopped dead and hasn't been heard of since. Kind of argues that something untoward may have occurred...  :(

This is indeed the Achilles heel of online communities... People can disappear in the blink of an eye and you have no way of knowing their fate - or whether they just got bored...  :?

Gluteus's last post was in 2011 according to his profile, and his last visit to the forum was a year ago today. I hadn't realised it was that long. I used to enjoy agreeing with him that everything was better with dinosaurs and airships. Was anyone in contact with him in real life?

Good to see you back Dewbakuk. I hadn't realised you were missing, but I also went AWOL around October and only got back a couple of weeks ago.

Gluteus does frequent Facebook, so he is alive and kicking.
