Medieval/Tudor House
« on: 19 February 2013, 03:30:39 PM »
This is a late medieval/tudor house that I built a few days ago. The roof was the easiest part, I just printed a picture of roof texture and folded it into the right shape. Not extremely happy with my previous attempt at doing half-timber walls (http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=42731.msg498306#msg498306) I tried to use thin foarm card and I just cut the wooden beams into it. I glued the pieces together, stuck them on a base, added a few bits to the interior, painted it and, as they probably would say in France, voilĂ :

Very nicely done. I like the way in which you can remove the roof to game inside.

Only one small criticism though - where does the smoke go from the hearth?

Thanks for the comments!

Actually, I thought about that as well, but only AFTER I finished the building... Luckily you can't see the hearth when the roof is on the building, and when the hearth is visible, you can't see the roof.
