That is one impressive set-up. How long did it take you to make the terrain boards for this one??? A true labor of love with some great craftsmanship!

Weve done this question on page two ;) It took me 6 weeks to make  8)

Hi Al,

I hear you about the lottery win.
Salute in the UK is on my bucket list.

The diving here is great according to my lady who used to do a lot of diving, before me. She used to dive all over the world. Her only comment is that the water here is cold. The mountains here are amazing, it's a very green place due to all the rain we get.

Cheers,
Thomas

Superb! A subject close to my heart. I bought a copy of a battlefield guide in the Australian War Memorial Museum (to add to my groaning collection of books on Mercury) and have always wanted to visit for real. We have thought of doing a few sculpt ons to make our FJ's suitable for early war/Crete. I also like Gorgon's Gebirgjagers.
Where did you get the DFS230?

I have been considering doing a set of boards like yours for years to be able to do Maleme. Might be a size in 28mm and those JU52's would take some building, but I like the idea of gaming these lumbering transports arriving under fire. We do have some nice road transport coming out that I would use, but cant say to much yet!

From the photos I have seen and the Greek islands I have been to, you have certainly nailed the look of the place.

Well done!

Its on the list.

I have wanted to go since 1st year History of Architecture lectures at Dundee Uni given by Professor Jones. I was fascinated by the Minoans!

25 years later and I am a ww2 nut, working in wargame figires and not designing buildings any more, so must get there.

And Greek food - oh yes!

I thought about that wargame holiday place. I wonder if it is still going - the girlfriend might not be so keen, but if that have wine she'l be right as they say in OZ!

Although just finished Gallipoli by Les Carlyon so I have added that peninsula to the list too (and Istanbul as well!)

I recognise this scenery from so many places I've been in Greece. This could easily also pose as any of the Ionian Islands thanks to the slightly western-ish buildings.

Spectacular work all together. Amazing! Words are seriously not enough!
