wanted: Goat
« on: March 09, 2013, 09:04:50 PM »
Ok I have made the mistake of including the goat figurines in a treasure haul during our retro pathfinder session and now the barbarian has found a use for his ride skill.

Has anyone seen a 28mm goat the size of a destrier with barbarian rider :P

I can see a bit of modding coming on...

*nods*  I should have seen it coming really the Barbarian previously ignored helping the monk (who later died) in favour of leaping onto the back of a recently summoned and uncontrolled (by wand of wonder) elephant in an attempt to control it and use it as a mount in the current combat which was taking place on the deck of a ship.  He failed the attempt by 2 and the elephant charged into the melee with the hapless barbarian in tow.

The wand of wonder really has brought about some humourous events during this campaign...

I am mildly amazed the rest of his party hasn't yet killed the barbarian!

If you're using 28mm figures couldn't you use a goat from the tubes of animals from a dollar store or pound shop or cheap megastore?

Rammock's Raiders from Westwind's Dwarf Wars line.  The dwarfs are quite big, or you can replace the rider.

Possibly not the size of a destrier though  ;)

I knew this was the right place to request, cheers.  I have some old riders from the warhammer fantasy wolf knights line that I can probably use with them although at £12 for essentially one figure I think he can buy them ;)

Unfortunately that's all one piece, except for the rams head.

Here it is on the reaper store. Down the bottom you can see it for purchasing small parts. The rider is attached to the mount.

I think that there might be some kind of goat monster in the WOTC prepaint lines for D&D.
maybe you could shoehorn an elc in by giving it curly horns and a beard, or something.

Maybe take a 15 MM horse and go to town with the green stuff?

Any self-respecting barbarian goat-rider needs a horde of barbarian goat-riders to follow him at higher levels.  Think of the other two minis in the pack as a head start :D

Goat.....why stop at goat. Why not have it transform into a giant war chicken.

http://www.comicvine.com/chew-major-league-chew-part-5-of-5/37-326851/

*POYO* the deadliest chicken on earth.

....from Chew. The funniest comic I've ever read.
"The sword sung on the barren heath,
The sickle in the fruitful field;
The sword he sung a song of death,
But could not make the sickle yield."
William Blake
