Help with some terrain
« on: 15 March 2013, 04:09:09 PM »
I'm looking for something to represent a crystal or ice bridge for 28mm wargaming, essentially something in clearish resin.

Anyone know of such a product?

Thanks in advance
Ian

You could get an icicle christmas tree garland and use the icicles to build essentially a toothpick bridge.

Failing that, there was a Madagascar or Ice Age happy meal series the other month that had some ice bridges.

And that´s why my kids keep yelling me "Stay out of my toys daddy!!!"  :D

@ Gharak: Have you consider constructing one with foam and adding crystal clear crackle medium? I think it can be something.

Acrylic sheet heated and bent. It would be bretty easy to make the structure and just melt it a bit. Then glue on christmas decoration icicles and clear glue.

That´s a great cool idea. I´ll try with old cd cover and a heat gun and post the results.

Hot glue on acetate?

Not tried it, but I seem to remember seeing a thread where someone had used hot glue to make things. I vaguely recall alien trees or waterfalls. Waterfalls could look like an ice bridge, if you look at them sideways.
