Excellent model.  I like the extra touches of the flowers and grass on the base.  Well done for your first piece.  Puts my efforts into the shade.

That is a great finish, Constable B!
That tufting has really brought it to life.

Ditto on the sign, too.

It turned out great.
The flowers set it off just right.
Now, one down, how many more to build? ;)

Looks very nice. I think it might benefit from some weathering effects to give it more of a "lived in" look.

Anything you had in mind sir?

Well I am wanting to do a Romanesque Village Church. So that might be up next... And was thinking a few houses.

Thanks, to be honest it's not my first. I did afterall scratch together things as a kid, but this was my first considered attempt ;). I'm sure yours are great too!

You think? Oh, great!   :D From you sirs that makes me very happy. Do you know I forgot to write "inn" on the sign? Haha. Oh well, it doesn't matter too much. Where could I find little chain for cheap to attatch the sign to the beam? As you cam see I'm using twisted wire at the moment.

Hopefully it looks good whenever I get to a game next and proves useful to my tactics rather than just bunkering behind a huge box then being attacked in the rear,  lol

Well. you might add some mud/dirt where the stones meet the ground. Some streaking water effects under windows and on the walls where rain might collect and drizzle (they always seem to dump sewage out the window in movies). Chipping on the sign graphic. General overall dirt. Maybe moss, weeds and small shrubs growing out of the large stonework.

Some good suggestions from Hellbeard, there.

Given time and practice, I am sure you will learn them all.

If you dont feel like tackling any weathering details just yet, then continue building things to your current finish.
They will look great anyway.

You can always go back at a later date and 'dirty up' your buildings when you have more experience and your confidence grows.

Much better to have more scenery on the table to a good finish than worry overmuch about one piece to the point of distraction.
 ;)
