Very good Michael, we will make a Finnish speaker in the end :)

Great to hear that Finnish infantry is on their way to stop the Russian advance.

In my experience, men do not need to be able to speak Finnish beyond, ja, kyllä, niin etc., they just need to be able to listen  lol lol lol

The test minis look riktig bra Michael  :-*

Great use of different bits, I think you have them very well covered now. I know you have just started but will you be making Savon prikaati at one point as well? I fnot, maybe I need to do them at some point (I'm originally from Savolax, quite near the place of few battles that took place there during the war.)

Thanks Antti !

No I haven´t planed the Savo Brigade at the moment, I´ll concentrat on the fighting along the Finnish coast. Would be very nice to see a Savo Brigade set up as at least the Jaegers had different hats :)

Best regards Michael

Darn good work with the lads Michael.

Checking the parts list that you have used for your minis, looks to be quite a work to get them right?

Still, great project idea that I must place in the long waiting line :)

If I remember right, the Armeemuseet is Stockholm has an amazing 1:1 scale diorama of several battlefield scenes from this war - perhaps there are some online photos of that which might help?  Everything you have posted so far looks awesome - you should be very pleased at your efforts!

Nice that you have been to one of my favourite museeums here in Stockholm.

Indeed they have some a nice 1:1 Finnish war dioramas, Swedish artillery vs. Russian Jaegers

back in 2008 they had a special exhibit about the war 1808-1809 and had severalmore of 1:1 dioramas.

best regards Michael

IF I have the strenth and endurance my plan for Sharps Practice are to build the 2nd Batallion of the Nyland Regiment. a Swedish battalion was approximately 600 men in 4 companys, each company was subdivided in 2 platoons. Each battalion did also have 2 Jaeger platoons. My aim are to have 12 minis in each company, i.e. 6 in each platoon and of course some extra minis for the Officers/Big Men... 60-70 minis...might be possible...

Anyway, here are a pictures of the 1st Platoon of the 5th Company "Helsinge Company". You can find some more pictures of the first group of Swedish infantry for my Finnish War 1808-1809 project at my blog

Best regards Michael
