The all out Swedish hero during the Finnish War must have been George Carl von Döbeln, of course we have few more aspire to the title, like J.A. Sandels.

For me von Döbeln is a perfect character as he was in command of the Nyland Regiment during the first 3-4 month of the war.

Here comes some pictures of my build of von Döbeln, you can find pictured of the painted mini i and a short re-cap of von Döbelns history at my blog.

and the Drawing by Albert Edelfelt  that inspired me.

best regards Michael

Superb work once again Michael!  :-*

I still hope you will include Sandels as well at some point though, you can then drink Finnish beer named after him and play skirmish :)

Och alla tyckte överallt, att Sandels talat rätt. "Ty visst var tanken", mente man, "hos Duva knapp till mått; Ett dåligt huvud hade han, men hjärtat, det var gott."

Well some say that the 'real' Dufva actually was Johan Zacharias Bång from Lohja (Lojo) [Swedish wikipage has wrong birth place for him]:

Historians should rename this war "the Top Hat War".

Highly practical headgear for sub arctic warfare. Lucky there weren't too many forests in Finland err  ::)
