Error messages more frequent lately?

960 a year. Thats like 100 members donating 10 euros a year. Whit the resent influx of members I don't think it is unreasonable to bvelieve you'd reach that goal.

Sounds fair, I'd happily chip in 10 Euros a year to help keep this place afloat.

I tried to donate a while back but PayPal gave me some error message in German beyond my understanding.

Let us known when you're going to make this move Prof and I'll try again.

I just got the error when I clicked o the top level Forum Index (I had it a couple of times last week too before I discovered this thread).

10 Euro a year sounds good to me for keeping the best forum on the web alive.

I had my first one yesterday  

I couldn't access any pages at all, until I logged out  opened the site in a new page.

I don't think there will be a problem in getting the required funds. I'm happy to pay an extra 10 Euros

I'm already working on the new version of the forum using Simple Machines software engine which is really great one (Pixelgeek, thanks for your advice!). We will get a compeletely new layout, new colours, new logo and lots of new nice features like uploading of files, pics etc. I guess, next week I will be able to show you all your new LAF :-)

I hope the change of the software will help a bit. If not, I'm going to get an own web server.

no worries, yesterday and today I've tried to convert the old forum database and it really works. I just have to set some special ranks again (like some Royal guys  :mrgreen: ), but all the other stuff (Posts, PMs, polls) does work.

It also has RSS feeds and you can also modify the feeds to generate custom RSS feeds of only the boards you want to read.

For the record, tonight, an hour & half ago (probably around 7 pm but I'm not sure cause of French summer time  :roll: ) it was impossible for me to login, and instead of the traditionnal 500, it was an "Error 404-not found".
