Yes, once I'd finished the initial Warlord set I rapidly moved over to the much nicer metals from Artizan and Crusader.
They're still "chunky" 28mm style (and dwarf any of the Perry offerings) but they're (to my eye at least) better proportioned and all round nicer models.
I did ask the Warlord chaps about rifles, and yes they're designed with half and half old and new style rifles, so it's not possible to build an entire squad armed with the same rifle. Which seems an odd design decision to have made. In the end I decided I wasn't going to look too hard, and just stuck them together with a mix.
Anyone who wants to test my rivet counting patience is very welcome to point out the inaccuracies.
Just so long as they like taking their meals through a straw all will be well.

TBH the older I get the less tolerance I have for "multi-part" plastics. I'd rather pay more money for someone talented to make a single piece of metal than faff around with poly cement and snippers.
Having said that, I've just got some Perry DAK that I'm about to start on, but I'll be using those against Perry 8th army which are a better match in stature and sculpting style.
