Advice on board storage

Hi everyone,

Hope this is the right place to put this request for advice. Basically I have a whole bunch of 4' x 2' wooden game boards, and have finally moved into a house with a large enough attic to store them (and build some more, natch). However, all of this transporting up and down loft ladders is causing undue wear and tear...

Can anyone think of a way/ product to protect my boards whilst in storage and transit? Maybe some kind of mini sleeping-bag for boards? I know GW boards come with a zip-up bag, but they're only 2-foot square. I'm UK based, so a European solution is preferable for product links. Any home-made ideas also appreciated.

If you live near a surf shop, you might find a bodyboard bag will work. You can even get them with rucksack straps if you have a long way to walk.
For a cheaper option just by a sleeping bag from a supermarket during music fest season. Or wrap in an old towel.

bubble wrap (the big bubbled variety)....buy a 10 metre roll at B&Q, and cut to size

If you can hsandle a sewing machine make up some slips/covers from the vinyl material they sell in material shops.

I use old woollen blankets for mine, mainly because they were there and I had no other use for them. Bubble wrap sounds good, too.
