Sedition Wars: Arms of Sorrow

Looks like the "sequel" to Battle for Alabaster is shaping up then:

Looks to have lotsa biomechanical monsters. Not too keen on that personally. Will have to see the final listing of course.

Ouch,  and this after i spent all my miniatures budget on latest zombicide kickstarter.  :(

Some of the minis looks quite promising, and i dont even want to think about all of extra minis they bring with the next sedition wars kickstarter...

Rumors on the forum say that it will be a straight release, not another kickstarter.  As far as I read there was no direct confirmation from Studio McVey.

Didn't see a confirmation for that one either. May have missed it but anyhow i's been confirmed since yesterday that AoS is a standalone game (not just an expansion) and it still features Vanguard and Strain as opponents. Possibly will have to skip this one regardless of how it's going to be marketed.

I would be very surprised if they dont go for kickstarter again.  Especially after the last Zombicide kickstarter which collected such impressive amount of money.
I just hope they will not do it too soon and i can accumulate enough money to back this up.  Good sci-fi miniatures imho are rarity nowadays.

Well, I'd like the BfA extras/add-ons that I paid for before I drop more $$$ on a new SW project. Just saying.

After all of the problems SMV had with Battle For Alabaster I'm not so sure an arms of sorrow kickstarter is a sure thing.  All of the explanations (or excuses depending on you point of view) for delays and defects with BFA have all sounded the same refrain of "sorry guys we're just a little studio and the kickstarter response was too big".

Hm, I'll have to wait for more details about this one. I'm actually quite happy with my copy of Sedition Wars and want to play it more. I would prefer if adding Firebrand in as a playable group instead of just being more Vanguard and Strain though.

Beg to differ. You're comparing apples and oranges.
The first Zombicide KS was a winner. Everybody got his stuff and got to play a great game straight out of the box. As a bonus, the figures are easy to clean and paint.
Because of my experience with that one, I had no problem handing these guys $330 for the 2nd season Zombicide.
Now, if you look at the Sedition Wars KS, we got lousy cast minis in crap material (yeah, yeah, I know they are beautifuly sculpted) to put on terrible warping gameboards accompanied by a not so clear rulebook and a serious delay in delivering the extras. Not what I would call a hit.
So no, thanks, but no support here.
I'd go even further. While Zombicide was a great experience, I'll think twice of ever pledging something again thanks to Sedition Wars (except for future Zombicide seasons  :D)

I can understand and in fact agree with you on the most problems with Sedition wars, but i think we just had a diffirent expectations  for the game.
All i needed from this game was a good source of beautifuly sculpted miniatures, for my sci-fi project, and i think i got what i expected, although i must admit that cleaning mold lines on minis was not really a pleasant experience for me. :(
I never ever opened rulebook and tiles are still lying in a box, so for me any problems with them just irrelevant. :)
Also i hope that Mcvey's will find a solution to a problem with casting material after all these complaints on quality of minis they received.
After seeing minis from the latest FFG boardgames, and from Zombicide i think that problem can be easily solved with some efforts.
