My 3D printed aircraft for Crimson Skies, Luft 46 etc.
« on: April 05, 2013, 03:44:06 PM »
Hi, I've been creating some aircraft for 3D printing for playing my latest iteration of rules for the Crimson Skies setting. It seemed mean to keep them to myself so I've made them available via a Shapeways shop:

All profits from sales will be donated to a local charity.

All the models are based on prototypes, design studies and other unusual designs from the 1930s and 1940s. They are only available in the unpolished strong-flexible materials because it allows me to get thinner aerofoils than the other options (it also bounces if you drop a model). I do most of my designs in 1:200, as it is the closest to the original Crimson Skies models, but am prepared to rescale models to 1:300 or possibly 1:144 on request.
