PVA glue doesn't grip properly on the foamed pvc, some drops of cyanacrilic might be appropriate.

It just needs a key. If you scratch the surface first (craft blade or easier 60 grit sandpaper) PVA will bond to it without any difficulty, both alone and as a basis for terrain mix pastes.

Great scratch-builds - I really love the originality of the designs.

I look forward to seeing them finished.

I reckon that my deathmix of some sand, PVA and filler will do the job. It's sturdy as concrete when dry :)

TBH I've never had issues with bonding. Perhaps because I don't water my PVA down too much...?

Apologies to Andy for somewhat derailing this thread: let's see some more goblin domiciles, please!

It most certainly can warp, I have several pieces to attest for that. It takes very well to the PVA newspaper straightening method though.

I can't say that's ever happened to me. Was that on some bigger pieces Dean? I'll need to try the foam PVC method.

Thanks again chaps for your very nice comments!! Real works been REALLY busy, so there hasn't been much progress yet! Sorry!

The dead tree hopefully won't look dead when I'm finished. I plan to hide the wires with a big bit of foliage to make it look like a drooping swamp tree. I meant to take a pic before I started undercoating! I totally forgot! Doh!! The mix of white/black undercoat was only because I ran out of the black halfway through....

I managed to finish the pig sty. Easiest one first and all that...

I don't think it really shows up in the photos, but the brown part inside the pen has been gloss varnished so that, hopefully, it looks like mud....
