I'm thinking about converting one of my dwarfs guards to make the 3rd dwarf adventurer...

Concerning painting, I'll paint the minis by groups of 3, of course  ;)

Hi,

I'm finishing my first batch of zombies for ATZ, so I will be able to start my adventurers very soon (probably next week end). Until that, I'm fixing my advanced stage human warrior :

I kept most of the original design of the missing axe. Tommow I'll make the details with green stuff.

I also started some conversion work on a ral partha advanced stage halfling. I noticed that the last halfling I received had a bad molding line on his face. I noticed the problem to the store I bought the minis, who directly (great support!) said they would send me a new replacement mini, wich I received today.  So I decided to recycle the bad figure, fixing the defects the best I can and convert it in a intermediate stage adventurer.

I first modified the weapons, and sliced it the head crown/helmet. I sanded the casting defects, made a new mouth, and tommorow I'll finish fixing it with green stuff. It shopuld become a decent intermediate stage adventurer. I also have to glue it on a base.

Here's some progress on customization I made :

On the intermediate halfling, I modified :

the dagger (from elfic dagger to a standard dagger).
the bow (from an elfic short bow to a standard wood bow)
I removed the throwing knives, replacing them with straps and a purse

I also fixed some defects (face, arrows' quiver, shirt).

I still need to make the new curly hair.

On the warrior, I started resculpting the axe. I still need to make the other side, and the handle metal binding.

to be continued, tonight !

The two miniatures I had to fix are completed (the warrior axe still needs a bit of fine sanding).

Tommorow I'll primercoat them, and start painting my adventurers (at least!) this week end.

VERY NICE WORK! The Little Rogue especially benefited from your deft attention.

thanks ! Can't wait to start painting. I think I'll make them by groups of 3, each stage of adventurer.

Now the tuff choice : which adventurer will I start ? Maybe the halfling. I was not that much interesting in that race, but after I saw The Hobbit, it gave me a bit of interest...

We'll see, I'll keep you informed.

Thanks !
This afternoon I primercoated the....halfling ! Too much work on the faulty figure to just keep them into dust waiting for their turn  lol

I'll start painting tommorow. The theory is to paint at least 1 complete adventure (3 stage miniatures) each week end. And during week days, working on my zombies horde.

The goal is to be able to play ATZ and dungeon crawling games (Warrior heroes: legends and maybe goalsystem delves if a solo mode appears) this summer.

Thank you !

Here's some sneak pics of the primered minis, and especially the one I massively fixed and resculpted :

I'm happy with the result, it should take paint very well, and be full of personality like a lot of old school minis.

I also finished the 3stage warrior, fixing and sanding flashes and defects, tommorow I'll primer coat it (so it will be the 2nd hero)

I didn't start painting, but I'm customizing one of my dwarfs NPCs to make the 3rd stage dwarf warrior complete  :D

I'm adding some green stuff details to make the 3rd stage dwarf.

1st stage : small runic iron axe, buckler, leather armor
2nd stage : double common steel axe, wood shield, chainmail armor, fur coat
3rd stage : single large runic steel axe, steel shield, mithril armor, fur coat, steel gauntlets, legs and shoulder pads

I could not resist, since it's the only one hero left with 2 stages only...I'll post pics this afternoon.

In the mean time I'll work on my zombies (I want to be perfectly available for the fantasy heroes).
