I did a review of them. read it before buying.

I think the review was fair, they're not exactly an easy set to build with. I did two batches several months apart, and because I knew what I was dealing with the second time around was much better.

I still think I'd kitbash them with something else if I wanted them to have two handed spears or pole arms, the way the arms match up is bad.

Forlorn stuff looks nice... do you know how they compare in size to GW lotr?

That's interesting. At £11.40 for 8 they are still cheaper that the GW LotR plastics, and much nicer models.

I'm a BIG fan of Dave Soderquist's Bronze Age Miniatures Orcs.  I bought two sets, and just need to get around to painting them.   :D

I clicked on the copplestone half orcs and loved them so much I went downstairs to show them to my husband. He replied, "Hon, those are on the tray "(to be painted). Then he went and did this to them:

I love the way they blend right in to the forest.

There are also some nice black orcs sculpted by Tre Manor that can be bought in Reaper

The black orcs would make good bosses for the Copplestone half-orcs as their faces are very similar.

I'm a fan of the WF orcs.  They are relatively inexpensive and have that old school vibe going for them.  I mix them freely with my LotR figures and they do not look out of place.

Just a little heads-up, Wargames Factory has a sale going on their orcs. $13.97 for a box of 24 figures.

I second the Grenadier Copplestone half-orcs. They are my absolute favorites: Saxon predecessors of Peter Jackson's Uruk Hai.
Mark Copplestone was supposed to release new versions of these but it never happened. They were announced when he released the halflings and wizards that were discontinued.

I've been working on a small army of them for a while, with lots of headswaps for variation. I should make some pics soon.

Mirliton also sells those Half-orcs along with some conversions of their own. At least i don't remeber these from the Grenadier times:

Renegade have just started to re-release their Kev Adams orcs:

With some of the proceeds going towards the sculptor himself. Very nice orcs, maybe a little bit more pricey than the wargames factory ones but I think arguably nicer.
