Sudan Terrain (Mud Fort and Houses)
« on: 16 April 2013, 06:53:49 PM »
Just finished these and noticed that I hadn't shared them in this ever inspiring colonial board! So here they are some adobe structures and a small mud fort ready to fend of some British Nile steamers!

Small set-up, British soldiers at ready for Mahdist charge!

Cheers and comments more than welcome

Very nice, really nice. I like a lot your buildings and adobe walls; I´m looking for terrain elements for my Afghanistan games and these are perfect!

Your fort looks a lot like the forts on the Nile.
Well done.

Thanks! I will probably just add some balsa wood doors as the current door isn't my taste but just need to get some at the local craft shop.

Cheers

Very nice buildings, and useful for anywhere in the Middle East in more than one era. I do like the little round fort.

Thanks! Yes, the buildings could be used for several settings like ancient Greece, Sudan, Afghanistan and would also easily fit in Pulp games and fantasy games (Conan in the desert, ...).

The little mud fort is also my favorite piece as it has a bit more character than the houses.

Thanks, the miniatures are made by Wargames Factory, not the best sculpts but I won them in a contest and they actually look good when painted.  ;) Also have a 10 men squad with glencarry caps. I alse converted two of them to officers with some Perry Miniatures sabres and pistols.

I like that fort!  How many figures can you get into it?  I think I am going to steal the idea!   :D

Thanks Pete, I will test the piece with some miniatures but I guess quite a lot but will give you some numbers later on.  ;)

Just checked it out around 40 miniatures on 5 €cent bases, that number includes those on top of the adobe building.

Cheers!
