Help with painting Guardia Civil (SCW)
« on: 18 April 2013, 10:47:18 AM »
Help a colour-blind person please chaps.

I've just taken a unit deal from Empress to add to my collection [and to keep the Asaltos on the side of the Republic]

Colours for the uniforms please? They look green to me but they could be anything in reality.

Many thanks

James

I've no idea what the Colour Party 'Rifle Green' looks like, but the Guardia uniform was a grey-green. I'd post a photo, but that wouldn't really help...

:?

I know this won't help much you are colour bling but these are the figures andrew taylor painted for Empress. I could ask him later if he remembers what colours he used.

I bet they look fantastic!  :D

I get the green/grey thing although i'll go more "green" so they're different in looks from La Legion. Same with the Y braces [by which i mean i'll do them Buff rather than Black except on the Officers]

Just got hold of Andrew for you mate. He said he used Gunship green. Add black to base and buff to highlight and to also gloss their silly hats :P

Just to hijack my own thread

Reading English Captain by TW. He mentions the Political Commissars "wearing the red badge" Is this a cap badge or some other marking?

Possibly this if it was the International Brigades

Or the usual five pointed red star otherwise.
