Spot on. It's as simple as Paul says.

The rules are clear enough in English. It may be that there's a translation problem here for Pierrebi.

If you want to debate world events, politics, religion, societal, moral and philosophical issues of the moment, do it on Facebook, Twitter, Yahoo, or any of 1001 other online outlets for these sorts of discussions.
Firstly, it's not appropriate here because this is a forum specifically about miniatures.
Secondly, discussions on these contentious real-life topics almost always end up in some kind of argument and bad feeling which is damaging to the karma, courtesy, and general good nature of this particular forum. So let's not drag that sort of thing into a forum which is about our enjoyable hobby. Leave it where it belongs.

Or dip your toe if you dare into Frother`s Frothpot :D ;D

the real reason Politics etc is not allowed to discussed is obvious.

where the hecky flip will anyone get the time to either read it or post about it?

there is already way too much content on the site to keep abreast of it all ( lol 'breast)

I'm constantly finding topics that are 10 pages long with the most amazing stuff on them.

Plus it's a Toy Soldier Forum ;D

When I'm at Mega News & Political Corp I've never felt the need to demand a Toy Soldier board.

and, most importantly of all...It's just bad manners to discuss Politics & Religion at the table.

This.

There's a time and a place and this is neither.

What they said...the ones who said don't do it.  Not here.   ::)

I don't want to discuss politics, religion, current affairs HERE.

I don't want to hear about other LAFFERS politics or religion HERE.

I only want to see shiny painted toys and all the related stuff.  That's why I come here.

What has always amazed me about the rule in question is that there is even a need for such a rule.  This thread and those recently removed proves there is a need.  I'm still amazed though.   ::)

I can't really fathom the politics of toy soldiers. I've asked mine on a number of occasions and all I get is a stony silence from the little buggers.

Then there's the all-important conflict between the white, grey and black primer users. Forget politics, we need to settle this for once and for all!

Grey. There is no black and white in this life. Besides, it more closely resembles the drab existence we lead that took us to the hobby in the first place.  :)

What about 1:56th (correct) vs 1:48th (incorrect) for 28mm figures? Much more relevant than politics!

28mm figures

Measured to eyes or top of head?

And what do "true" and "heroic" really mean?

Heroic means you've just spent a large wad of dosh on an over sized cartoonish miniature but because you like it you are now going to replace all those hundreds of quite respectable and lovingly painted 25s you've had for 20 years.... until, of course, the wheel turns, fashions change again to slighter more realistically proportioned sculpts forcing you to repeat the experience to stay in with the cool kids.

Bloody 1/56 and 1/48. Who the hell decided that was sensible? At least 1/48 had a historical rationale.
It was bad enough when the 25mm/1" entente cordiale was broken.

Resin is just plastic with petit bourgeoise pretensions.  ;)
