the tpys were pretty close for 28mm on the vehicles.   One of the 6 wheels trucks is in the back of Beyond Times!

You can still snag them on ebay every now and then..

The toys were remaindered in the UK a couple of years ago but still crop up in charity shops, car boot sales etc. or even ebay

I seem to recall that some might have been burger toys (those freebies that KFC, BK, McD etc give out with kids meals) too.

It's a fun movie, no sing-alongs or talking animals that you usually get in Disney films.

There was a great adventure feel to it while still being light enough for most kids.

I really like that film, (and bought the special edition dvd when it came out,  you know, for the kids   )

The concept art was done by Mike Mignola, for any Hellboy fans out there.

I have one or two vehicles from the toy range released at the time, as far as I can see from ebay the McD toys were caricatures from the film rather than scale replicas, which is a shame.

(I also really like Disney's Treasure Planet, which was released the following year and if you like animation is worth checking out).

I just picked up some of the toys at Recruits Con. One gentleman seemed to have a stockpile of the the motion activated submersible toy and the pack that has a ton of part to make your own pulpish vehicles the vehicles pack looks pretty close to 28mm. The submersible he had cut in 1/2 length-wise and used the halves to make a 'cloudships of mars' type airship and the other 1/2 as a waterline sub.

I will post pics of at lest the airship if I can find my camera's cable.

I saw a couple of the Atlatis toys at Björn's palce. Unfortunately I didn't have the guts to hit him over the head, grab the loot and run. They are really great.
