Albion Triumphant Vol 2 Waterloo has arrived
« on: 29 April 2013, 07:59:57 AM »
This new Black Powder supplement covers my favourite Napoleonic period, the Hundred Days campaign. It has lots of lovely pictures, and in my opinion some great scenarios. I'm now planning a Brunswick contingent for my armies.

Can you give a brief idea of what they've done for the Netherlands forces?
Have they included "special characters" like the first book?

They have included character gemeral stats for all the armies. The Netherlands get the Prince of Orange, Major General Baron Ghigny and Baron Chasse.

Interesting, looking forward to seeing what they did, since warlord claims the writer hadn't used historical fictional stereotypes (in other words British written history)

Hi, i've flicked at the history so far and concentrated on the new rules & lists as we tend to use pointed games at the club except at wkds for large games.

I'm playing Ady Mac this evening (Russians v French) so i'll be bending his ear about his next supplement  ;)

Cheers

James

Sorry, am I getting senile?  Last time I looked you had answered his comment with such bad language, I was stunned.

Having read your comment, I looked back through your posts.  What I saw was odd!  About 80-90% of your comments are helpful, supportive and informative, but the rest contain purely nasty comments about companies, Warlord and Mantic, especially.

Just my observations.......

Hence my confusion, because this book is something I'm looking forwards to, and said nothing negative about it and showed genuine interest, a previous angry comment was previously posted by me, but that was due to being called out as trolling despite saying nothing negative, this was removed by a mod who in the infinite wisdom granted to them decided to allow the post causing my anger to stay, why I have no clue, and I doubt they care to be quite honest.

You are correct I do make allot of negative posts about games-warlord-workshop, releasing strings of overpriced, lazy and unnecessary models gets my blood boiling, they have no interest in customer interests, but black powder and the first Albion book I like allot, and have stated many times, but I wouldn't be suprised if they get ignored.

And mantic, well yes, I'm not going into that here, stupid company.

That explains it......

I am looking forward to seeing this new book, too.  I have the last one, useful, even if just for the eye candy......  :D

Love them or hate them, there is no denying Warlord's major effect on the Wargaming World......  They have picked up the baton that Warhammer Historical fumbled and dropped;D

A very interesting game v Ady. Check out the new rules in AT2 on cannon fire/bounce through. Also, skirmishing troops taking Leadership tests to form into square

I failed 4 of 5 break tests. Poof! There goes my French army  lol

Showing more genuine interest might be classed as "trolling" again by some idiots but I will ask.

You mention in your blog grigork that you "need to buy a Brunswick Brigade", by that am I to assume the brunswicks are similar to the portugese from Albion 1, being an addition to the British list, not a stand alone list?

Next to the dutch and Belgians they were the next force that interested me, be curious to know what they did, just to gimme some more thought as to weather to buy the book and do Netherlands or Brunswick
