That is super.  I love the 2 car doors on the top. Outstanding work.

Very nice mate, just barricade that side door as that looks flimsy as hell and possibly put some spikes or forks in the dozer as those little gaps are noticable.

Love the paintjob and the tarps are excellent, both in smoothness and paint.

Can any one actually identify that Matchbox? buggy? I've done a couple of searches but can't find anything similar.
I bought 3 of them several years ago from Toys'R'Us.  I wish I had got several more as they no longer seem to be available.  When I get home I can check to see exactly what they are called, any markings, product number etc.
I haven't had any luck myself with finding more.  :'(

Thanks to everyone for the feedback  8)

I'm afraid there isn't much to go on.  :(
All it says on the underside is: Matchbox. c1998 Mattel Inc. Made in China.

It originally came with a trailer on which you could fold out (deploy) 2 legs to stabilise it. This trailer fires a springloaded projectile.
I have kept the trailers, but the are currently archived (somewhere... ::) ) for future use in some other project.

On the left is the buggy as bought.  The upper body is metal whilst the lower chassis is hard plastic.
The rollcage, bullbars and side bins are soft plastic.

Not much to go on but I hope it helps.  Let me know if you do manage to track some down.  :)

It helps indeed. I now know exactly which vehicle it is and am cursing loudly  >:(

I remember the range and kept looking at them, however the only one that seemed like it would fit the bill is the one you've used, however I could never find one in the shops to check the scale. I could probably have easily got them online at the time though!

Damnit!

Thanks though, if I find some again I'll know to snap them up.

GW included spikes for the 'dozer blades with their Rhino kits, so it might be near at hand.

Great looking bus you've got there Overlord. Any hints at what the second one will look like? By the way, do you remember the manufacturer of the bus?  ;)

The second bus I intend to convert for use as an moveable entrance barrier, like the one in Mad Max 2.
(Although that was actually a Commer).

I will add plastic card "metal" plating to one side of the vehicle.
It will probably get a (yellow) repaint, rather than the weathering of the original paintwork on the first bus

Unfortunately, there is no manufacturer name on the bus. All it says is "Made in China", with the number SS 9852.
I do remember it being described as 1:50 scale, which would be about right.
I no longer have the paperwork from when I bought it on Ebay so can't check its original description on there.
My Ebay account suggests the seller is no longer registered on Ebay (In the USA).

Sorry I can't be of more help.

Well my young pupil, next time come to me and I will teach ya the ways of the SearchFu.  LOL But seriously, that is a buggy from the Matchbox Mission Bravo series. It is the LSV Recon to be specific. I have a couple of them i retreived from ebay a few years back. The serios has a few useful models. At the moment there is one on ebay now. Just look up Mission Bravo and scroll down to the eBay Stores or just look up LSV Recon to find it quickly. Hope this helps. :-)

I have seen, from someone here i think if not from another group of the Buddy L school bus makes a good PA vehicle. The Buddy L Greyhound is another good one. Either i saw it here or another group. Both can be found on eBay for real decent prices and shipping. Just do a search for buddy L Greyhound of buddy L School and have some fun. :-)

Edit: Of course the person with the buses is the one and only Pappa Midnight.
