Since I really only care about the tripods, could one just pledge a $1 and then buy the various adds on that are there? I know you don't get the full reaping of a Kickstarter(the free unlocks, etc.) but I seriously have no want for any the human stuff and the only level that I half want is in the $200 range. I know once I get it I could sell the human stuff off, but what if no one else wants it?

mingans,
I faced the same dilemma but I only wanted the human stuff....I really like the tanks, and think I could use them in other systems fighting 15mm Quar.

Don't see why not.

At the very bottom of the KS page there is an explanation of shipping charges based on, what I can see, as folks doing just that.

I asked this question for you the KS comments page and the company rep said that yes, you only need to make a $1 pledge and then you can buy any of the add ons you want.

Yikes!  :o

They've just revamped the stretch goal freebies, separating them into three categories: "Everybody wins", "Army levels" (which includes the 'Everybody wins" stuff) and "War of the Worlds levels" (which also includes the"Army levels" and 'Everybody wins" stuff).   o_o

I've revised what I was planning to buy two times already and now I'm going to have to do it again.  ;D

They've also revealed some new things in the stretch goals such as Command stands and a Martian Power node.

Gotta admit this is a hard sell, getting folks to commit to buying entire armies... but they do seem to be trying their hardest.

Hmm. Might be tempted to go for those tripods to use with 28mm. They are fairly large and relatively scale neutral.

That is what got my attention.

The scouts are still fairly expensive. One of the goals of the KS was to get enough money to be able to do them in plastic and reduce the price. My guess is that it is a matter of volume.

And it appears I was incorrect about a UK distributor, they are still looking for one. This point seems quite important for further progress. Hopefully they will have a breakthrough on this soon.

I'm thinking of pulling out of the KS as I don't want to risk the customs charges I will get lumbered with.  :(

They'll find one.

It's almost certain that the Brits are major players in this KS.

I hope they do and I may look at it again then but as I company I would have thought they should have sorted this out before the Kickstarter o_o  Unless they expect most of the money to come from the US.

I haven't funded a KS before so don't want to get burnt on my first one :(

It's a small company trying to establish itself.

The kinda people KS is meant to help.

On further looking at the miniatures  I am really only interested in the Tripods, the human stuff doesn't do it for me.  Now if they did 28mm scale tripods.
