agreed but it is had to see the figures
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it anymore and what is it seems weird and scary.

Both entries have great set ups.  I have to agree that it is a bit hard to see the painting on the figures.

I have to agree with the above...of course that could mean they both did a great job on the camouflage.... lol

Hehe, many thanks on the nice remarks about the setup.

Considering the dark pictures, normally I take my pictures during daylight time and can get reasonably crisp pictures with my 8+ years old camera, sadly this time I could only take the pictures in an underlighted room at night :( I'll just need to find my light tent/box or order a new one :)
Why aim for gold if you can get lead?

Thanks for the kind word about the setup. Sorry it was hard to see both teams clearly. I was trying to give a nice panoramic of a battlefield and insert enough close ups so that you could judge the quality. With 17 20mm figures to fit in the frame, I had to "zoom out" a bit. As it turns out, I zoomed out too far for most, it appears.

Either way, I feel honored to hold an edge in votes against Brax's lovely layout. Smaller scales don't always seem to fare well in the LPL, so I was not optimistic about my chances in this round. I added quite a bit more detail on these figs in an effort to "step up my game." I normally don't dry brush and higlight my modern Africa troops, for example - normally justmdoing a black wash at the end. I take your votes as a compliment and indication the extra time paid dividends.

In closing, this is one of the reasons I enjoy participating in this competition. I always end up trying new techniques and focusing on trying to improve my skill. LPL pushes me to not be satisfied with my current level, and push myself to improve...!
