That's simply remarkable. So you've been playing games at this level of detail for ten years now. I'm lucky enough to play with other miniatures fanatics too, but we never reached this quality for our weekly games. Bravo! You have raised the bar.

Thanks again Michka! One of the factors in our excess of miniature/tabletop riches is that we always explored the world that Teshub created to woo me 23 years ago (my story here: http://swordandsorceryrpg.com/about-the-site/about-the-author/ ). I've been intrigued by others who paint and model for different games and genres and that looks like fun too, but we have had a singular vision all these years. That helped put many a cool mini back on the rack instead of in our shopping cart, so all our hobby money and crafting time has gone to fill this world.

Since we started our Sagas of the Gautrian Kings about 4 years ago, we have had a gaming revolution. The group chemistry and tabletop play begged for more involved storytelling. So Teshub provided more complete miniature representations for us to play with. And that made for great pictures!

I was so happy with the way the world looked in photographs that I was inspired to write a comic of one of our rocking adventures.

Teshub loved the idea, but felt there were key miniatures and buildings we needed to do it right. He came through for me week after week with new models, re-based minis, and blocking suggestions. The comic put fuel on our players' creative fires, and as a result the roleplaying, plotting, and crafting has exploded and brought life to so many places "over the horizon".

I'm grateful we have so many players now who get to share in the fun, and that you all are enjoying the ride too!

I love the cartoon format AND the story telling aspect of your games. WONDERFULLY IMAGINATIVE WORK!

It really is a wonder being in this world. When a new structure is revealed, the sense of excitement as you approach is palpable. The terrain is almost a character of itself.

Hello all! The next installment of the League of Nil-ith Horn Chronicles is up on the website. LNHC #2, "Bothvar's Wolves" found Eskander, Gazzi-Ura and their troops on the road regrouping after an ambush. They cleared the debris blocking the road and continued on towards the outpost fort of Rostok Hold.

Gazzi-Ura and his scouts heard howls from the woods. Eskander gave quick chase, but only rode down and slew one wolf-skin clad human. There were signs of many more, but no further sightings.

Near dark Eskander had his men and orcs set up camp with heavy guard.

There passed a tense few hours until wolf howls were heard again and the wild men burst from the darkness. Several of the wild ulfhednar went for the command tent. Eskander quickly responded and slew his attackers.

Gazzi-Ura charged at the shaman on the hill, but was kept from his target by 2 axe-wielding savages.

The combat was fierce in the dark night. How would our heroes fare? More pictures of it are on the website:

Once again, you've done some really great photography. I'm still fascinated by the depth of field you get on those caravan shots. Very impressive.  :D
It doesn't hurt that the miniatures are painted so well either.

Thanks again Michka! For the depth of field, a tripod is a must. On these I shots used an f-stop of at least 11. (That means not as much light gets in, so a slower shutter speed is needed.) I don't have the original file in front of me, but I think that had an exposure time of 1/10 of a second, maybe slower; at any account, too slow to hand-hold. I LOVE digital photography because so much of my ability has simply come from taking tons of pictures and experimenting. Not having to develop film and forget what the settings were by the time the pictures came back has greatly helped my learning. And Teshub gives me tons of material to work with :)

Thanks Nala! Since reading up on H.G. and his wargaming, I love the man even more. A grand compliment!

Is a sex tripod what one suspends one's sex swing from?

Actually it's what you get when you leave the "y" off of sexy. Spending a moment or two longer proof reading my posts might pay dividends.

Counting down the hours to episode 50.  I'm more excited to play the longer the game goes on.

SGK #50 tomorrow night and only one more week of school before summer break!   ;)

Looks like trouble is brewing for our heroes on the streets of Mosvel, capital city of the North Gautrian Kingdom.

Thanks Katsuhiko and DeafNala! The best part is the adventure could go either way, siege or celebration. Kvig has made some promises that we'll have to see if he can keep.  ;)
