Not happy with the arched windows on the stern. I picked up some lasercut windows at Colours yesterday and think I might hack the balsa off and replace them...

Have been busy attaching the gun port hatches to the hull.

Also had to add some plastic supports to give them a bit of strength...otherwise they will get busted off very easily.

I decided I was not happy with the arched windows on the stern so I hacked them off and replaced them with some laser cut frames.

I think they look better...

I also added the greenstuff "waves" around the hull.

I think the building of this thing might actually be finished.

 :o

She's huge! Very impressive.
I look forward to see how you paint her. A black pirate ship, ghostly wraith or a flagship naval vessel?

I plan to paint this one as a ship of the line complete with Black Scorpion Navy Marines.

Well, at least its mostly brown now.

Whats the chance of getting it tabletop ready by next weekend?

Overall it came out better than I thought it would.

I got through a whole can of undercoat, a few bits did not quite get enough paint, but its no big deal.

Reckon the stern will take some work.

Simply insane.  I love it.  Can't wait to see it with a proper lick of paint on it.

I have been following the build with interest. Have to say it's turned out very well.

Started putting some colour on it yesterday. I wanted to stick to browns, er, apart from the gold.

The original Leather Bown I used for the edges was too close to the rest of the hull colour so I decided to go even lighter with a Desert Sand.

So far so good.

Here is a bonus picture of the cat helping at an earlier stage. Just not very much...
