Hi to all,

After many years of "will I - won't I" in regards to having a blog spot I have taken the plunge.
The blog will primarily be the Sudan Campaign using Peter Gilders rules, Connoissuer figures and copious amounts of Port and cigars!  However there will be some posts in the future detailing other gaming attempts as there is no way I would be organised enough to maintain more than one!

I haven't even looked at the blog yet and I like it already.  Peter Gilder was THE man for inspiring me.  Any chance you will be posting up the rules for all to see?  (If not done already)

I'd like to second that idea but I would guess that there would be some copyright issues? In fact one of my greatest regrets is misplacing my Wargames Worlds many years ago!

The plan is certainly to have the rules available to all who dsire it.  This was the original intention when Mike Ingham and Gerry Elliot gave me permission many years ago and the new owner Mark Freeth has very kindly agreed for them to be available as well just to have the rules out in the wargaming stratosphere so to speak without copyright issues.

They stand at approximately 36 pages currently with all the Rules, interpretations, examples, charts and factors from the original rules as well as Random Event Card templates, OOB from Wargames World etc.  Most of this is based upon original charts and sheets given to Phil Cook from Peter Gilder in the 1980's and some additional items Gerry sent me about seven years ago.  Time flies.

The plan is to have them as a freee PDF to whomever wants to game the period.

Still finishing the editing and a couple of small spanners in the works so to speak so stay in touch either via this forum or the actual blog.

PS - I think I have added the correct widget for followers or joiniung the blog but to be truthful...I have only a vague idea of what I am doing when it comes to these design layouts etc.

Hi Juan,

Certainly am going to add a list of followers but all my attempts so far have been futile.  Need to call Nathan of Lonely Gamers to walk me through ...have I mentioned I am a bit dim when it comes to all these blog gadgets, widgets etc.?

PDF rules will be avialble shortly...just sorting out some layout issues and one minor aspect of firing which I want to makwe sure we have gotten right, (a fire factor).   Then I will simply email out to those who want one...unless someone can advise how I can put them somewhere to be downloaded seperately. 

The plan is to also go through the rules via the blog with a scenario and then add some photographs as we go through sections to help easily explain illustrate them.

Yes, there is the "follow me" section, at the bottom of the blog, and I´m your first followers  !
In my other own blog I use Scribb to put PDF´s accesible to other people directly from the blog page.
