The Reaper Bones stuff has me in a quandary... do I buy my favourite dragon in metal or bendy plastic?

I spent a while cruising E-bay this evening and have discovered that there are an awful lot of dragons that are touted as OOP GW when they are clearly something else...

The BONES stuff paints up so easily. I just did one. No primer, paint glides right on smooth as silk. And you can't break the BONES. I've tried. I bent my Cave Troll till he was kissing his toes and no breakage. It's also lighter than metal and if you're talking huuuuge dragon that would make a difference.

That bones one is quite cheap too. I definitely need one of those but don't know if I want to go for the metal or the plastic.

I should have an old "original" white dragon (at least I've seen it's box recently), if you need a size comparison pic I'll dig him out- it's not a big dragon, but quite nice.

I'm not looking for big dragons (apart from one who will be the king but I am not looking for him yet) so the white dragon being fairly small isn't an issue.

...but you never know, there may be one or two that crop up that look brilliant so all ideas are appreciated

No, not a fan either. Spotted this yesterday, or was it this morning, I'd rather put that money towards a heresy dragon.
I wouldn't mind that 25k add on though.

So far I reckon I'll go for the White Dragon II, Black Dragon, Green Dragon II and the Blue Dragon (to go with the Pathfinder Red Dragon).

They are all big enough to be a threat to a standard human/dwarf in 28mm but not so big as to be an 'instant death' sort of opponent.

I won't be painting them the right colours though

As dumb as it sounds, for big ones have a look at the McFarlane Dragons .

I like the fact that they're crap-your-pants BIG. They have a couple of superb water dragons.



All of Tom Meier's early dragons are lovely, although i don't know if many of them are typical of an environment (unless you count Disco as an environment http://www.solegends.com/citdragon/dg3bluedragon/dg3blue-02.jpg).
