Hi James,

Old Glory do the Mikasa in 1/600th scale. Also has other ships from Russo Japanese war.

Cheers
Fuzzy.
Crikey, sir. I'm looking forward to today. Up diddly up, down diddly
down, whoops, poop, twiddly dee - decent scrap with the fiendish Red
Baron - bit of a jolly old crash landing behind enemy lines - capture,
torture, escape, and then back home in time for tea and medals.

Yup, seen them and I'll be going through other manufacturers over the next few weeks. If the market is already filled I'll probably just make it for myself  :)

Area of a available ships will also determine whether to do it or not.

cheers

My brother is slightly obsessed with that ship, and because Japan is a very, very long way away, he'll be dead jealous when I show him these pics.

And no, this really doesn't belong in Colonial Adventures*, but I can't be bothered to move it.  :)

*This board is defined by its theme rather than time period, Other Adventures is the only board this sort of topic really fits in currently, nestled as it is between the 19th Century stuff and the Great War, unless we consider it covered by the Big Battalions board, which I'm not sure we do.

Beautifully restored and maintained vessel isn't she?  I was surprised how small she  was for something so powerful in her age. I lost myself for a few hours there on my last trip.

Really jealous! Something I'd love to see. I did have a chance of a trip to Japan last year, but a lack of immediately available "readies" meant having to dip out.

Will have to add this to my "bucket list" for when I retire next year (all being well).

Most of the time, when I've seen AARs of the Russo-Japanese war, they've been posted in Big Batallions, which is where I understand the board classification says that's technically where they fit. I can see how that particular war is a difficult one though. Much the same as the way the late Tudor wars can straddle the line.

Lovely pictures either way!
