I've recently started selling these all on my website (Grekwood Miniatures). You've done an awesome paint job!!

It really helps add to the character of the figures!

^The endless number of head options from that Kickstarter makes me think (assuming they scale properly) that you could have some really really cool options for kit-bashing. I love the idea of these guys with ceremonial turbans, or the cool hooded gas mask type...

Andrew himself posted a couple of posts before you saying that he has a box.
You could always ask him to check them, scale-wise, for you.

I am sure he wouldnt mind selling you a whole bundle of heads when they are ready!

I hauled ass today.

Crusader's almost done, just finished up the heraldry. The body pics were taken earlier this morning. All the armor plates are now attached. By the way- if you're going to build one of these, TEST out your pose with the armor dry-fitted or you might be in for a rude surprise if you glue it in a fixed stance.

Weathering's progressing nicely, need to do some stains and rust, then dust and off we go.

I started the process of ordering custom decals a couple weeks ago, and it became clear I wasn't going to get them by my deadline. Freehand it is...

Also finished up the support weapons and crew, although they need to be based.

Lastly, the cargo MULE. Fiddly little guy, but these things are really quite cool. I think the accessory kit is worth the price just for them (there's three in the kit).

I'm probably pulling an all-niter so that I can get these done, spray sealed, photographed, and shipped out tomorrow. That's the plan anyway

Gorgeous brushwork...I love...LOVE the heraldry. It makes me envision one of those popular sci-fi medieval settings. I can see "Knights" competing in those crusaders in a huge arena. Or a "Knight" in the crusader leading his serfs in a war...such great paint work. Can't wait to see the thing assembled - sadly my least favourite part of the kit is the weapons (not a fan).

Thanks for the comments all. There's not many painted pics of these Crusaders out there so I'm happy to be getting one done that emulates the box art. I just put on the last airbrush layer- some soot around the barrel and smokestacks.

Thanks! I really did NOT want to do the heraldry by hand, but it didn't take as long as expected. It took less time than making the digital file, trying to line up custom decals via email, trying to print my own and failing...

I agree with you on the weapons. The gatling looks too big for it for starters and unless it operates differently than most rotary cannons it would be out of ammo before you could blink. I like the little circuitry details on the blade. Very fun kit to build though, I'm going to hate sending it off. I told my wife I kind of felt like I gave birth when I was finishing it up... she didn't really say anything, not sure she agreed

Ah, the old "hey, this model only has enough ammunition for one burst...".

I always wondered how Space Marines got anything done, using only one magazine which must hold about 6 rounds of bolter ammo...

I guess that's why so many of them carry swords in the future.

I lost steam about 3 a.m. and was getting sloppy... had to sleep

Big guy is done, support team is mounted, all I need to do is attach heads and give everything a once-over. It helps to step away for a while, I noticed a few things that need touch up and it turned out that I don't need to ship until Monday anyway.
