My First Pulp Alley League
« on: 28 June 2013, 10:25:10 PM »
Here's my first attempt at a PA League roster.

I haven't used any of the Weird attributes from Perilous Island, although they would have been appropriate for this league.  Instead I wanted to be sure we've got the basic ruleset sussed beforehand.  Anyone spot any silly mistakes?

It'll be interesting to see how these brawlers pan out against a group of shooters.

I've posted the roster to the Pulp Alley Forum for comments as well.

You trail blazer you  :)  I've yet to assemble my first league and get it down on paper. Yours look like they could kick some serious butt. Well done.

You could use the Animals Perk (from Perilous Island) to give your followers and allies this trait. By doing this you could then give them an ability to further define them.
Below is a link to my blog. It's the place where I write uninteresting things about little toy soldiers. I do this because I refuse to grow up and behave like an adult.

I really like this idea. I'm planning doing about the same thing for our Legion of Robot league.  :D

So cool that you got the Mastermind perk in there and all the little bits of background.

THANKS

Thanks for all the feedback guys.

Yes, I saw this, but as I said I wanted to use the basic ruleset first.

Dave can probably clarify this for me.  If I use 'Animals' as a League perk, does this mean that all the followers and allies have that ability and still have room for another ability of their own?

Elsewhere Dave has pointed out that I've undervalued von Karpp - his Might should be 4d8.

I've yet to assemble my first league and get it down on paper.

I'm very new to this game (as readers of my blog will know) but was surprised to find how easy it was to draw up a roster using the PA rules.  In fact, I found it quite addictive.  I'd intended to sit back and wait for comments and pointers, but instead carried on and got on with another roster.

All an excuse to use Black Cat's Agatha Rutherford!

It'll be interesting to see how they play.

Animals (Perk) -- Yes, if you take the Animals perk then your characters would still have room for another ability. This works well if you're going to make a bunch of your characters "animals".

It's going to be really cool to see that second league in action. Lots of fun ideas there!  :D
