'celtic' female warriors?
« on: July 07, 2013, 10:07:27 PM »
Just wondering if any of you might know of something I could use here - I'm looking for some miniatures of female warriors which ideally look like they might be wondering around Ireland in the Iron Age/dark ages.
It's a purposefully nebulous time frame. It's for a low-fantasy project I have in mind. I haven't yet started so scale can be either 15 or 28mm.
They cannot be Brigade (I'd like the to be wearing some clothes) or the Warlord celts (they aren't warriors, so much as armed civilians).

Maybe one or two of Foundry's female vikings? They have about a dozen.

There's these ones from Alternative Armies (Erin/Milesans)

Also have a look for any good Buddeca models in the historical ranges.

Maybe this one from Sphere Wars

There's a nice mounted figure too.

Reaper minis might well have something suitable. Their range is huge.
