My Newest Pulp Toy
« on: July 15, 2013, 10:03:18 AM »
My gaming club held a ship making day as a lead up to our annual Pirates in September event.
I already have a pirate ship so I thought: "Why not tag along and learn how to make a ship". The result is this little beauty.
I now have the basic knowledge I need to make that long planned tramp steamer...

Below is a link to my blog. It's the place where I write uninteresting things about little toy soldiers. I do this because I refuse to grow up and behave like an adult.

Nicely done.

She will go well with some dockside toughs that a new company recently released.

That's great! What a cool gaming club!  8)

Care to share the basics on how you built her?

I think I have that set... Or maybe more than one!   :?

I'm hoping to start work on a tramp steamer soon and I'm hoping I remember to take plenty of progress pics (I tend to get too involved and forget)

I don't know. I've thought about it but as yet I haven't come up with anything suitable. I certainly don't want to name her: "Proper Noun Queen".

The boat looks great, just the size I was looking for.  Are the sides wood, plasticard, or something else?  Is the boiler PVC pipe?
I look forward to your tramp steamer build.

Here's a few I picked up off EBay recently. There a bit down the priority list at the moment but I will feature them when I finally get around to working on them. Like most here, too many projects not enough time.  ;)
