tribal warpaint and masks .
« on: July 26, 2013, 09:33:09 AM »
Hello,

did any African warriors , ( or even in the Americas) paint themselves to represent skeletons or  skulls  as war paint  rather than ceremonial ?

 Or wore  skull masks/headdress ?

 Pete.

It seems to have been a common warpaint design amongst Australian Aboriginal tribes, reported by, for instance, the explorer Sturt in southern NSW, and the former Native Mounted Police officer E B Kennedy in central Queensland.
