Gun carriage is done but still deciding on the best sort of base for it.

Also got a group shot of all done so far (not much really  lol)

Might have a go at some Tileans next  :)

cheers

Who's been a busy boy today then?

Quartered wheels!!  Nice touch I have never seen before.  From the first pic I thought you had done the gun and limber separate colours which I also thought was nice.

Not busy, just finishing off all the little bits on figures I hate doing  lol

The carriage colours are kind of a mistake but it's turned out for the better  :)

cheers

wonderful!
I was always very fond of this set, I think there is even an alternative crew?

why base the gun at all?

James why not go for a half way house.A movement tray with circular cutouts for the crew and the horse. The limber and gun would rest on the surface (you could do two little ruts to act as chock's for the gun)it would fit in with the infantry trays, and removed when the gun was being fired.nothings glued to it .So it shouldn't limit its use, and would help save your paint work.
very emotive use of colour, there James. The white back ground is whats drawing your eye,to the contrasting limber colours not your brush work.as theres no base between the model and the white .

Thanks chaps  :)

Mark, I think that's what I was leaning towards but you've put it far more succinctly than I ever could  :D

I've got some rings that the coins fit in so I'll have a little play around for the best layout. Question is though, irregular base or plain rectangle (I'm thinking irregular).

cheers

That sounds great you could but all the trays together for display jigsaw style that way.

That's an even better idea. The two trays seen are just standard ten man skirmish ones but doing three so the all fit together (in different combos) is a great idea and, if it's modular, when I get round to doing the crossbow men I can have 'sleeves'  :)

Brilliant Jim - these look SO special.  :-*

Have I missed exactly what these are for?  :?
